In this section we will feature some of Canada's best and up and coming Nature photographers and artists. If you would like to be featured, send us a link to a portfolio of images, or your web site and a suggestion for a topic. Currently we can not afford to pay for the articles or photos but the hope is we can bring your some exposure and business through a link to your web site or an email link. We are happy to feature your books or photography media. Currently the Canadian Nature photographer receives between 2000 and 5000 visitors a month, most are from North America but we do get visitors from around the world.

Be inspired and learn from the best

Articles should be short, informative and include about 10 photos. We also want to include a small photo of you, your city, province and a short biography along with contact information (phone and email address). Copyright to the article and images belongs to the artist\photographer that submitted them.

We are most interested in how to articles, or articles featuring locations in Canada that would be good to visit for photography or any aspect of nature photography so long as it is canadian in content - shot in Canada.

Pictures using animals that are not "wild" that is from a zoo, game farm or rehabilitation center should be labelled (CS) for controlled situation". Photographs that were manipulated digitally for artistic purposes that include adding or removing major elements (i.e. you added or subtracted elements not in the original picture) should include (DM) for digitally manipulated. Basic image editing such as manipulation of contrast, exposure, hue, saturation, dust removal, sharpening etc are not considered manipulated as these things could also have been accomplished in a traditional darkroom.

Digital manipulation is permitted we just want our visitors to know if an image has been manipulated. In fact if you have a neat Photoshop technique we are also interested in "how you did it" type articles. All articles should be submitted by email as Word documents or as plain text embedded within an email, images can be attached to the email as separate .jpg files. Images may be cropped and resized and text may be edited for each article. Download our submission guidelines for more information. If you put your name and copyright on the photo please use arial font and no bigger then 12 pts.
