July Newsletter
July 7, 2016

Dear Friends and new subscribers welcome.

To see pictures from the wolf workshop I ran in June click on the link below. I am looking to run another wolf workshop again this winter - dates to be announced in the fall. Two new articles were posted "Walking with wolves" by myself and David Lilly shares his workflow in Adobe Lightroom for working on bird photographs.

I am working on a Photography Book "The Art of Canadian Nature Photography - Scenic Vistas and Wildlife" that will include photos from across Canada and that I took on my trek acrossa Canada over a 40 year period " my opus". If all goes as planned I hope to have it published next year as both a hard copy and e-book version. I will provide previews of the book in the fall which will include maps of the locations and a chapter on Composition.

Walking with wolves by Robert Berdan © Walking with Wolves by Dr. Robert Berdan. Photographing wolves is hard, wolves are difficult to find, they are secretive and most are wary of people. Still some photographers have captured great photos of wolves like Peter Dettling, but only after a very concerted effort. In Golden BC you can walk and photograph wolves - read more.

Summer Tanager by David Lilly Editing your Bird Photographs in Lightroom by David Lilly. All bird photographers use some form of editing software to edit their bird photographs. I use Adobe Lightroom CC, latest version for my workflow - read article.
