My First Newfoundland Trip by Suzanne Roberts Let me start off by saying that, as I write this I have a huge smile on my face! Newfoundland exceeded my expectations in so many ways. First of all, the landscape photography is phenomenal ... read more.
Photographing Cambodia, Kingdom of Wonder by Reinhard Thomas Our journey started in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) in South Vietnam at the delta of the mighty Mekong River. We made our way up the river to Cambodia in a boat that was able to pull up on the banks of the river ... read more.
Photographing Iceland February 2015 by Bhaskar Bhowmik The weather is an unknown variable when planning a trip 6 months in advance. My Iceland trip will not yield as many keepers as I had hoped. Iceland is not cold (to Canadians anyway), but the combination of all the elements can make it rather nasty in winter and it would stay that way for the next 12 days - read more. |

New Book completed this Summer - 45 years of Canadian Photography
"The Art of Canadian Nature Photography - Photographing Scenic Vistas and Wildlife of Canada" is my new book I completed over the summer. It includes 250 pages, a forward by Wildlife specialist Dr. Wayne Lynch and it includes maps and discussion of Visual elements of design that will help photographers improve their own photography. I hope to have it available next year to celebrate Canada's 150 birthday.

Due to high web site visitation during September, my web site exceeded 250 GB and was down for a few hours even though I upgraded my server a few months ago. I have added another 100GB for growth, but it seems like I may have to search for a more economical solution to accommodate the increased visitation to the web site. A good problem to have but also a more costly one.
I plan to redesign this newsletter and add more spherical VR photos to the web site before Christmas - keep an eye out for them.
