Chris started a career in Information Technology, so his travels in the backcountry were limited to the weekends and holidays. He would bring a simple point and shoot and take three or four photos side by side to make “panoramic” and enjoy that as a form of documenting his adventures. It was not until 2008 before he purchased his first DSLR, and started to realize that this tool was able to take him to a new level. By 2012, Chris had sold nearly five thousand fine art prints, and with consistent revenue, he was able to quit his corporate IT job of nearly 17 years.

Since then, Chris has been able to pursue his passion full time. It was the best career move he made. Starting with travelling and photographing the Canadian Rockies, the next few years are booked with new adventures and more places to capture. "

"Chris Collacott, is an international award-winning photographer who is known for his stunning natural landscape, architecture, and cityscape images. He specializes in large-scale panoramic photos, which are created by merging a collection of shots of a chosen subject, resulting in captivating and beautifully detailed prints. Though some of his works are mastered through the use of digital technology, it is a steady hand and adherence to age-old photographic principles that makes his photos come to life – composition, location and an eye for the dramatic.
