Edworthy Park Heritage Society is very pleased to sponsor a "Nature Photography for Kids Talk" by Robert Berdan on Saturday January 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the small hall of Wildwood Community Association. After the talk, depending on the weather, we may go outside either in the community garden or to Edworthy Park for a short photo session so please dress warmly. Please bring a camera – any kind of camera will do even a cell phone camera.

If you just purchased a new camera or you rarely get out in the winter to take pictures this workshop might be for you. It includes 2 evening sessions, the first night there is a slide show and discussion about camera controls and preparing for photographing in winter. The second evening after the day trip, participants will bring some of their winter photos to receive a critique. This workshop is suitable for all level of photographers with a DSLR camera. A tripod is nice to have but not a requirement. We will be car pooling and heading out to the Mountain Park on Saturday for a day of winter photography. Lake Louise will also be hosting its winter festival.
This one day Photoshop workshop will be in Science & Art's studio and runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m.

PRIVATE TRAINING I am available for private instruction on any aspect of photography or Photoshop on a one-on-one private basis $60\hr or 7 hours for $249. Your adventure begins in Yellowknife, NT and includes a flight turther north to Point Lake Lodge on the Tundra. We will be photographing the Aurora, waterfalls, tundra, caribou and other wildlife. The tour includes a boat tour of Yellowknife bay and a fish fry. We will also hike a scenic trail to Cameron falls to photograph grouse, mushrooms and autumn colours. We will spend two nights photographing the Aurora in Yellowknife, one night at Aurora village and the other at Prelude and\or Pontoon lake. We will then fly about 250 km north onto the tundra to Peterson's point lake lodge to spend 5 days on the tudra. with gourmet food and comfortable cabin accomodations. We will be photographing migrating caribou and other wildlife. The tundra will be coloured red and yellow and there will be opportunities to catch amazing sunsets and sunrises from the beach in front of the cabins.
